He has been working in the tourism and mining sectors for the last ten years. He taught public policy and entrepreneurship in the top academic institutes of Pakistan including National Defense University, Quad-e Azam University, and International Islamic University Pakistan. He is actively involved in providing policy concept notes to the Prime Minister’s Research Team, Board of Investment Pakistan, and parliamentary standing committees for legislation in the relevant sectors. He successfully executed research collaborations with the UN, UNESCO, ADB, and many other reputed international bodies.
He regularly writes editorials for The Daily Times Pakistan. He served as a Deputy Director of Research and Development in the Government of KP, Pakistan. His areas of strength are human development through inclusive business and political strategies, business incubation, the interrelationship between academia, policy, and business, and global corporate cooperation. He is a strong proponent of economic liberalism, human rights, and shared growth. Above all, he is a violent traveler who is passionate to drink directly from the fountain of nature.

Mr. Volker Fredrich

Volker Fredrich is the head of GBP International, a leading business consultancy in Europe and the Asia Pacific. He serves as the Chairman of the Foreign Trade and Investment Committee in the German Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade. Mr. Volker Friedrich was Senior Consultant with Management Consulting company Roland Berger & Partner. As a result, he has previous experience of 15 years in the machinery and engineering business. After that, an idea grew in his head. Therefore, he transformed his knowledge base and experience the Asia Pacific for a Concept: An International consulting service in Asia and Europe. Mr. Volker Fredrich has vast experience of developing cross-cutting business and human resource management strategies particularly in Europe and Asia.

Zafarullah Khan was called to the Bar by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn,
London (1998). He has a Postgraduate Diploma in Bar Vocational Studies, University of the
West of England, United Kingdom; LLB (Honours), City University, London (1996); MSc,
International Relations, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad (1984); and Bachelor of Arts,
Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan.
He has attended many specialized courses including Negotiations on Financial
Transactions, United Nations Institute of Training and Research (2004); Alternate Dispute
The resolution, United Nations Institute of Training and Research (2004); International Labour
Standards Course for Judges and Lawyers, at International Training Centre, Turin, Italy (2005);

Globalization, Oxford University (2011).
He remained Lecturer, International Islamic University, Islamabad (1985-1987). He
joined the District Management Group of the Civil Services of Pakistan (1987) and served in the
Punjab and Sindh Provinces in various administrative and judicial capacities. He resigned from
the Civil Service (2002) to work for human rights and rule of law.
He has served as Special Assistant to the Prime Minister/Federal Minister for Law and
Justice and Minister of State for Human Rights, Economic Affairs, Cabinet Affairs and
Parliamentary Affairs (2014-18). He also served as Secretary to the Government of Pakistan,
Ministry of Law, Justice and Human Rights (2013).
He has taught Law, Human Rights and International Relations at various universities and
institutions including Civil Services Academy and National Police Academy.
Zafarullah Khan is an Advocate Supreme Court of Pakistan and Managing Partner in
Jurisconsults, a premier law firm.

Asim Khan has lived in the UK for over 25 years. By profession, he is a technologist and carries diverse experience in defence sector technologies, telecommunications and security. He has worked for some prestigious organisations of the world like IEEE, British Aerospace, and Vodafone, developing solutions for all industry sectors in the public and corporate sectors.

Also, voluntarily,  he has for the last 15 years working with people with diverse backgrounds and sectors to develop an architecture for how modern political institutions should be formed and evaluated.

He has been managing the exploratory expeditions for the discovery of industrial minerals like Potash Feldspar, Mica, Quartz, Granite, Limestone, and gemstones like Rubies, Sapphires, and Emeralds in Kaghan, Swat, Gilgit, Hunza, Kashmir, FATA, and Baluchistan for the last eight years. He has successfully concluded 78 mining technical reports after detailed surveys. He administers a 120-member exploratory team with cross-cutting techniques and tools to estimate the number of deposits and their financial feasibilities. He managed a fund of USD 1.5 Million in gemstones trading between Pakistan, India, Myanmar, Thailand, Germany, the USA, Dubai, and France.
